With over 30 years of invaluable experience as an educator in the challenging and dynamic environment of the South Bronx in New York City, as well as within juvenile detention centers, Tandra has dedicated her career to working with some of the toughest kids facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Throughout her extensive journey, she has encountered a myriad of obstacles and triumphs that have shaped her approach to education and student engagement.

Tandra has developed a profound understanding of the unique challenges these young individuals face, including socioeconomic struggles, emotional trauma, and the impact of systemic issues on their lives.
